Liverpool has spoken about some of the darker side to Barcelona’s game in their massive 3-0 victory over Liverpool in the UCL.
Liverpool played well despite the result and tried to score an away goal after Luis Suarez’s opener until Messi took over to ensure the win for his side.
Klopp was happy with his club’s efforts, even if he felt Barcelona were more apt with the dark arts.
His words, “We made our experiences, we always learn with it, that’s how it is
“But they are obviously much more experienced, you saw that in moments when they wanted to [sighs] stop our rhythm, stuff like that, going down, all that stuff, but it’s part of the game and we cannot change that.”
“My boys tonight didn’t show too much respect. They were really there, they tried with completely legal things.
“We didn’t treat [Messi] harshly or whatever to try to get him out of the game. We played just football and I like that.”
“Because it’s football, yes. But before this game we had a bigger chance, let me say it like this.
“It’s Barcelona and if they can play for counter-attacks that doesn’t help us a lot, that’s difficult to avoid. Because it’s football, we should still try. But this hasn’t made our life easier.
“It’s not the night to be mouthy and saying it was exactly what we wanted, if we score an early goal (in the second leg) and all that s***, it will be another really difficult game.”
