Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has come out to say that he advised the club to sign Idrissa Gueye a month after he re-joined Everton.
Rooney recently revealed that he called Mufc to tell them the Senagalese was good enough for their team weeks after they trained together at Everton.
According to him, he was not shocked to see PSG signing the African because he clearly has what it takes to play at that level.
He added that Fellaini was an absolute handful during his Man Utd career and he scored goals but never got the credit he deserved.
His words, “After a month playing with him, I spoke to people at Manchester United saying he was good enough for them. I wasn’t shocked when Paris Saint-Germain signed him.”
On Fellaini, “He was an absolute handful. He didn’t mean to, but he’d always catch you with a knee or elbow; he scored goals, was always threatening and never got the credit he deserved.
“He was such a nice person and when he was getting stick at Manchester United it was hard for him. I admired the character he showed to get through that and win fans around a bit.”
