Los Angeles, CA, March 18, 2014 –(PR.com)– TransGuardian, Wells Fargo Insurance, Price Forbes and the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) presented initiatives in shipping high value parcels to over 60 underwriters in the Old Library at Lloyd’s of London.
The team discussed compelling new technology advancements that work uniquely with US postal products. They demonstrated why the USPS, which once carried over 90% of jewelry parcels in the US, is poised to become the industry’s Most Valuable Carrier again.
The USPIS is the oldest federal law enforcement agency in the US, founded by Benjamin Franklin. Deputy Chief Inspector Keith Milke and Special Agent in Charge Pete Zegarac discussed the extraordinary resources the inspectors use to safeguard US Mail.
Part of Wells Fargo & Company, Wells Fargo Insurance is one of the largest brokers in the U.S. Michael Fitzpatrick, Vice President, explained why, as the first company to operate the Pony Express in 1861, Wells Fargo is excited to continue its long-standing tradition in valuable transport by working with TransGuardian.
TransGuardian is a developer of transportation management software with unique risk-mitigation features for insuring and protecting small parcels in transit. Its CEO, Jim Moseley, explained how TransGuardian, with Wells Fargo Insurance, is making shipments of high-value parcels more economical, safer, and easier for end users.
“The ability to track a package and identify exactly where it went missing is enhanced enormously by TransGuardian’s software package,” said Laurence Humberton of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Underwriting at Lloyds “With TransGuardian acting as the consolidator, clients will benefit from the savings in freight charges to compensate for the insurance costs, and we all know that ultimately price will drive the product’s success.”
“TransGuardian’s presentation was astonishing,” said Simon La Mere of Apollo Underwriting “It will go down in my memory as one of the most impressive that I have seen. They obviously know their industry inside out and have come up with business solutions for all possible scenarios. They are clearly at the top of the tree within their field.”
