Atiku’s Aide supports EU report on 2023 Election, claims even the dead knew it was rigged

Frank Shaibu, Atiku Abubakar’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, agrees with the EU Election Monitoring Group’s findings that the 2023 presidential election was rigged in favor of President Bola Tinubu.

According to him, the most recent Nigerian general election was plagued by irregularities and did not pass the bar for credibility.

According to a signed declaration by Shaibu, “even the dead knew that the last election lacked credibility,” and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had been unable to explain why, nearly five months after the election, it had refused to put the full result on its result viewing portal.

To paraphrase one author, “Even primary school children who did not vote know that INEC failed woefully and that Tinubu rigged the last election.”

He questioned why, after rejecting the EU’s opinion on the elections, the EU would give the Nigerian government billions of dollars for an election budget.

During this time, Shaibu was blasting Tinubu and his spokesman, Dele Alake, for trying to undermine the report.

He urged Alake not to defend the improprieties by saying nothing.

The European Union (EU) not only gave equipment but also provided training for INEC workers, but INEC nonetheless managed to hold a chaotic election. Since the EU is the greatest single donor to INEC, one would wonder why Alake would make such a claim. Mr. Alake should keep his mouth shut instead of trying to defend the undefendable, he continued.

The Nigerian government, however, claimed the report was inaccurate and did not reflect the true state of affairs during the election, thus they officially rejected it.
