Setonji Koshoedo has been appointed to the position of PDP interim National Secretary by the Peoples Democratic Party.
The decision was adopted by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Until the conclusion of a matter before the Enugu High Court, Koshoedo will serve as National Secretary in his prior post as Deputy National Secretary.
After a Tuesday meeting of the PDP’s NWC, acting National Chairman Umar Damagum made the news.
Damagum stated that appointing Koshoedo was crucial to the party’s success amidst the continuing legal processes.
The Deputy National Secretary “should take over in an acting capacity until the Court case is resolved,” Damagum said.
Also, “we direct parties involved in the Court case to stand down action for the party’s due process,” he stated.
Damagum added that contradictory court decisions addressing the National Secretary’s post were a factor in the appointment.
