Real Madrid legend, Karim Benzema has come out to offer Kylian Mbappe advice amid his struggles in Madrid. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Mbappe is definitely not a centre-forward, and every single time he has played in that position for France, he does not have a good game.
Benzema, however, added that Vini is clearly the best in the world on the left wing, so Kylian must focus on shinning in that No. 9 role to succeed in Real Madrid.
His words, “The problem for me is that Mbappe is not a centre-forward. Every time he plays for France as a ‘9’ he is not good, it is not his position. The problem is that on the left there is another player who is at the same level as him… you can’t put Vini on the right or as a centre-forward, where he makes a difference is on the left. Let’s see how [Carlo] Ancelotti does that.
Mbappe is not a ‘9’. There is a lot of pressure at Real Madrid, this is not PSG. A piece of advice? He shouldn’t give up. I don’t think Ancelotti is going to move Vinicius, he’s the best in the world right now in that position. Mbappe has to get it into his head that he has to be a ‘9’ and forget about the left. He’s been very good on the left and now he has to be good somewhere else.
My situation in my first year and Kylian’s is different. I was 21 and he is 25, it’s not the same. He knows that there is a lot of pressure at Real Madrid.
If you don’t score a goal in two or three games, they’ll kill you. He has to learn to live with that. He has to put up with that pressure. Every game is new and you have to score goals, they brought him for that and he has the level for it.”
WOW.
Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, commonly referred to as Real Madrid, is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid. The club competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football.
Real Madrid has maintained the white shirt for its home kit throughout the history of the club. There was, however, one season that the shirt and shorts were not both white. It was an initiative undertaken by Juan Padrós in honor of an English team Corinthian F.C., which he had met on one of his trips, one of the most famous teams at the time known for its elegance and sportsmanship.
It was under Florentino Pérez’s first presidency (2000–2006) that Real Madrid started its ambition of becoming the world’s richest professional football club. The club ceded part of its training grounds to the city of Madrid in 2001, and sold the rest to four corporations: Repsol YPF, Mutua Automovilística de Madrid, Sacyr Vallehermoso and OHL.
Hala Madrid is a magazine published quarterly for the Real Madrid club members and the Madridistas Fan Club card holders. The phrase Hala Madrid, meaning “Forward Madrid” or “Go Madrid”, is also the title of the club’s official anthem, which is often sung by the Madridistas (the club’s fans).
