The Federal Government on Wednesday withdrew charges of receiving stolen property worth N100.38 billion against Mohammed Abacha, son of the late military dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha.
The money is believed to have been stolen by the late maximum ruler from 1993 to 1998, when he was head of state
Several billions of Naira stolen by the late Abacha and kept in safe havens abroad have been recovered by the federal government.
Mohammed played a prominent role in the Abacha administration and is believed to have helped his father launder a substantial part of the stolen funds.
