The Deputy Leader, Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Nname Ewor, has reiterated the commitment of the Assembly to making laws that will stand the test of time.
Hon. Ewor stated this during the public hearing on a Bill to regulate outdoor, signage, Hoarding and Advertisement in the State.
The Deputy leader who is also the Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee handling the Bill urged all those that made presentations to submit their memoranda within two weeks to ensure speedy passage of the Bill.
Hon. Ewor said the Bill was sequel to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) made between the State Government and the 23 Local Government Areas of the State to have a unified Agency to regulate outdoor advertizing in the State.
He unbehalf of the Speaker thanked all those that came for the public hearing despite the short notice adding that contributions from the public has enriched the legislations from the House with high impact.
Those that made presentations include the LGAs, OutDoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) among others.
