The African mobile network giant has appointed a new CEO for its company in South Africa. The new CEO is to succeed Ahmad Farouk who resigned earlier this month. Mteto Nyati who is the newly elected joined the company as Chief Enterprise Officer in October 2015.
Personal impact
With his magnificent contribution to the company, the company has rewarded him with an enviable appointment by becoming the CEO of the company just nearly a year he joined. In his role as Group Chief Enterprise Officer, Nyati has been responsible for leveraging the Group’s integrated ICT offerings and leading the group-wide enterprise and ICT strategy to enhance MTN’s position in the enterprise segment.
Academic merit
Nyati has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Natal. In 2004, he was named a Yale University World Fellow.
