Starting this Sunday 1 June 2014, seven additional Ticket Collection Locations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup begin operating in the airports of Belo Horizonte (Confins), Brasilia, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro (Galeão and Santos Dumont), Salvador and in Viracopos/Campinas. The opening date for two further airport locations at Guarulhos and Porto Alegre are yet to be confirmed. In addition, three other collection points in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo also become operational. For information on the locations, please visit FIFA.com/tickets.
Starting this Sunday, fans can also buy tickets currently available over the counter in the 12 Venue Ticket Centres (for information on locations please visit FIFA.com/tickets). Tickets can be paid by cash or a PIN-enabled payment card. Visa is the preferred payment method of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
All spectators, including children of all ages, require a ticket to access the stadium. It is important to note that the additional Ticket Collection Locations are only for the pick-up of tickets already purchased via FIFA.com, not for over the counter purchases. All FIFA Ticketing Centres and the additional ticket collection points will be open daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm (local time). It is possible to collect tickets for all matches in any Ticketing Centre in any host city (not only in the city where the match takes place). However, the centres will close the day after the final match in that venue. It is important that fans pick-up their tickets as soon as possible since there are no ticketing offices at the stadiums, including match days.
On Wednesday 4 June a very limited number of tickets for all 64 matches, including the opening match and the final, will be made available on FIFA.com/tickets only (the exact time will be communicated in the coming days).
“As promised we are happy that we are able to make more tickets available to fans and we believe that these tickets will be in high demand. Therefore to avoid disappointing fans who might decide to queue for these tickets and to ensure fans worldwide can apply, we are making the tickets available exclusively online”, explained Thierry Weil, FIFA’s Marketing Director.
