RESTON, VA and MADRID, SPAIN–(Marketwired – Apr 14, 2014) – Netuitive, a leading provider of predictive analytics for IT, and Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, today announced a software licensing agreement that will enable Amadeus to better understand performance of its Altéa Departure Control (DCS) – Flight Management (aircraft weight and balance) system.
Amadeus provides a variety of IT solutions and services addressing airline operational requirements in the areas of sales, reservation & ticketing, inventory management, departure control and e-commerce. It is a global travel technology solution provider processing 5 million transactions per minute equating to one billion currency carrying transactions per year.
The Alteá suite, a complete passenger service system which comprises Reservation, Inventory and Departure Control, is utilized by more than 100 of the world’s commercial airlines. Netuitive will also monitor performance of Amadeus airline, hotel and car rental booking and reservation services.
Amadeus’ next generation Altéa Departure Control system is essential to ensure that flights leave on time. It also enables airlines to increase efficiency, reduce costs and centralize load planning.
With an emphasis on traveler satisfaction in the form of maximum service availability, Amadeus sought an IT analytics solution to further monitor and enhance performance of the Altéa Departure Control system and related applications. It required an automated solution that could provide holistic visibility into critical application performance and the ability to alert only on IT and business anomalies.
As part of a paid proof-of-value trial engagement, Amadeus installed Netuitive in the cloud and tested the solution by consuming a variety of monitoring data from their in-house monitoring systems encompassing infrastructure, application and business metrics.
Today’s announcement represents Amadeus’ formal agreement to provision Netuitive to monitor a variety of critical applications including Altéa DCS, as well as airline ticketing, hotel and rental car reservation applications. Netuitive will sit on top of the Amadeus monitoring systems and will monitor approximately 2,000 servers located in data centers in Brazil, Europe, and the US as part of the three year software licensing agreement.
“We will be using Netuitive’s IT analytics platform to further enhance performance of our services,” said Peter Raven, Director of Business Development, Amadeus. “This involves advanced analytic capabilities powered by unique algorithms for correlating multiple data types and business metrics.”
“Amadeus’ services are truly mission critical and an essential component of the travel industry,” said Nicola Sanna, CEO of Netuitive. “We are proud to provide Amadeus with our advanced IT analytics solution.”
