Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has come out to say that Southwest governors are prepared to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari to break down the entire concept of the new security outfit, Amotekun, and why it should not be scrapped.
He revealed this today in Abuja.
According to the governor, the meeting with Buhari would have happened if not because of his recent trip to the UK.
He added that contrary to suggestions that are far from the truth about Amotekun, it is not a regional militia by the Southwest states but a group borne out of necessity to assist the existing security agencies to perform better.
