The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the extension of the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms for the Ondo State Governorship election until Friday.
This decision was conveyed in a statement by the party’s spokesperson, Felix Morka, on Thursday.
The party has also extended the sale of delegate forms for the primary election until the same date. Initially, the sale of forms was scheduled to be open from Wednesday, 27 March to 3 April.

The statement did not provide a specific reason for the extension.
However, it is speculated that the recent death of one of the aspirants, Paul Akintelure, may have influenced the decision. Akintelure, aged 61, passed away last week in Lagos State after experiencing chest pain, which he had been battling for the previous four days.
Following Akintelure’s demise, several other aspirants in the race suspended their campaigns for a brief period to mourn him.
The APC primary election, where the party will select its candidate for the governorship poll, is scheduled for 20 April.
