Arsenal’s Europa League tie with PSV Eindhoven has been postponed because of severe limitations on police resources following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. UEFA has come out to say that a new date for the match would be communicated in due course, and fans have been reacting.
According to a recent statement, the postponement is as a result of the severe limitations on police resources and organisational issues related to the ongoing events surrounding the Queen‘s burial.
UEFA added that the national mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will have to be respected.
It read, “This is due to the severe limitations on police resources and organisational issues related to the ongoing events surrounding the national mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
