Activities on the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) by Nigeria’s telecommunications operators fell from 39,535 in May to 32,873 in June, showing a decrease of 6,662. This was yesterday disclosed by the apex regulatory body, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). NCC made this known in its “Incoming and Outgoing Porting Activities of Mobile Network Operators Report’’ posted on its website. NCC said in the report that 39,535 subscribers ported within the networks in May. Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai disclosed that the Nigerian Army is to deploy 230 personnel, including 19 officers and 211 soldiers to Liberia. Buratai charged the officers to shun acts that could tarnished Nigeria’s image. He gave the advice while speaking in Kaduna at the end of a a four-week intensive training on leadership and peacekeeping for the personnel. “You must observe human rights, and respect the cultural and religious sensitives of Liberians,” he said.
