The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has said that Babachir Lawal, and Ayodele Oke remain suspended.
Oke was the head of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), while Lawal was the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Buhari suspended the two top government officials, following allegations of corruption levelled against Lawal, and the discovery of N13b in an Ikoyi apartment, reportedly belonging to the NIA.
The President also set up a panel headed by Osinbajo to investigate the allegations and submit a report.
There are unconfirmed reports that Osinbajo submitted the report of the investigative panel to Buhari before he travelled to London.
Speaking about the panel report, Osinbajo called on Nigerians to be patient.
According to his spokesman, Laolu Akande, “when time comes the outcome of the panel would be made manifestly public and Nigerians would be satisfied.”
Meanwhile, Femi Falana (SAN), has advised Acting President Yemi Osinbajo not to sign the 2017 budget.
