Barcelona manager, Xavi has come out to say that the club must strengthen every year. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, whether Barcelona are winning on the pitch or not, recruitment should always be annual for the club to remain competitive.
Xavi, however, added that the current reality of players having to leave for signings to come in is very complicated.
His words, “It is important to strengthen every year, win or lose,”
“Barca have to strengthen every season, but even more so if we lose. But the financial situation is what we have. Players have to leave for signings to come in, so it is complicated.”
“It is one of most difficult situations in club’s history, but we have to strengthen to be competitive. We will assess among everyone here at the club what we can do and go from there.”
