Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer has said “it’s about time” for the German giants to defeat a European giant as they get ready to battle Liverpool in their own stadium on Wednesday.
After the first match ended in a stalemate, Bayern Munich will hope their recent dazzling form can come to play to secure an important UCL victory that will seal qualification into the quarterfinals of the competition.
His words, “It’s a final tomorrow. Two top teams. It was close in the reverse fixture and both sides were keen to avoid mistakes,”
“But our stadium will be on fire tomorrow. We want to win an important match like that.”
“We have not beaten a bigger European team at home for a while. It’s about time!”
Bayern Munich coach, Nico Kovac has said fans should not expect Bayern Munich to go all out though, rather, the team will calm things down and wait for their opportunity.
His words, “You can’t expect us to tear off the mask and go all-out attack on the road to ruin. A game lasts 90 minutes and more, and you can score towards the end of a match too.”
