Senator David Mark has urged residents of Benue State to take destiny into their hands for the February 20, 2016 senatorial rerun elections in Benue South.
Mark made the call via a statement released by his media aide, Paul Mumeh on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.
“You must stand tall and exercise your franchise within the ambits of the law. What we shall not accept is for external forces to decide who represents us,” the statement read.
“This is an election that affects the political destiny of our people. No outsider should decide for us; we must take our destiny in our hands,” it added.
Mark is expected to go head to head with All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Daniel Onjeh after his (Mark’s) March 28, 2015, election victory was nullified by the Court of Appeal.
