Beyonce is confirmed to play part of Disney’s upcoming live-action, “The Lion King.”
The singer shared the full cast list on her Facebook, confirming reports that she had been offered the role of the female lead in the remake.
The news was also confirmed by Disney, who shared the full cast list on their official Twitter account.
The US singer will play the character of Nala, alongside the lead character Simba, played by Donald Glover.
Beyonce joins a class cast that includes James Earl Jones, who is reprising his role from the 1994 film as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Oliver as Zazuand, Seth Rogan as Pumba the warthog.
The upcoming film is a CG-animated re-imagining of the 1994 Walt Disney classic “The Lion King.”
