Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles is being sued by his former lawyers for an alleged fraud to the tune of $50,000 after refusing to pay a legal bill.
According to the reports, the 65-year-old reportedly hired Lang Ferrer Law in November 2015 but refused to pay the firm over the course of the ensuing months.
The firm alleges in the suit that Knowles hired their services in representing him and his company, Music World Properties, for an unstated legal matter.
In the legal documents, the firm went on to claim that Knowles failed to follow through on his obligations and that the entire amount remains outstanding.
It also claims to have proof that it held up it’s side of the bargain, providing services reportedly worth $49,120.35.
Daily Mail reports that Knowles deliberately refused to pay the legal bills, and describes it as: “part of a ruse to secure free legal services.”
The music producer was also accused of holding a secret auction over Super Bowl weekend in Houston this year, where he allegedly sold off memorabilia as well as other items from his time managing Beyonce and Destiny’s Child.
