The All Progressives Congress (APC) said Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman, never wrote a warning letter to presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
Adamu, a former Nasarawa governor, reportedly complained about the composition of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
A statement on Friday by National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka noted that the memo “did not emanate from the party.”
The spokesman said an unsigned letter “that marks itself as a ‘DRAFT’ cannot and should not be attributed to its purported author.”
Mark said Adamu and Tinubu maintain cordial and effective communication channels and enjoy full liberty of open conversations on party matters.
“An unsigned “DRAFT” letter of the kind in circulation is patently unnecessary and of no qualitative value to engagement between the Party and the PCC.”
Morka added that APC would not be distracted by the wishes and actions of detractors waiting for a crisis to erupt in the ruling platform.
He insists the party is united in its “resolve and commitment to execute a focused and issue-driven campaign to persuade Nigerians” to renew its mandate in 2023.
