Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has come out to say that he understands Luis Suarez’s anger after his substitution vs Chelsea. He recently revealed that his reaction was very normal because all serious players want to play till the end of every game.
According to him, he simply took the Uruguayan off because he was looking to find a new way to attack, and it was not because of his performance.
He added that Joao Felix and Saul played really well in the game, but Chelsea was obviously the better team.
His words, “It’s normal that he got angry when he was taken off, players want to stay on.”
“We wanted a new way to attack them so we made changes.”
“Tonight was Joao Felix’s best game for the club, this is the player we want,”
“Saul played well too.”
“When your rival is better than you, accept it and learn from it.”
