Out of favour Chelsea star Juan Mata has been offered to the likes of Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, as his father and agent seeks to secure him a move away, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
.
The source, citing the Sunday Times, claims that Mata’s situation has now reached breaking point, and that his father has been in touch with a number of clubs in order to negotiate a possible January switch away from Stamford Bridge.
.
Speculation over the Spaniard’s future has hit fever pitch over the last few days, particularly in the wake of his reaction to being substituted during Chelsea’s win over Southampton, and recent reports have suggested he is set to have showdown talks with Jose Mourinho this week.
.
However according to the Sunday Times’ Duncan Castles, who is thought to have good relations with a number of high-profile individuals at Chelsea, Mata’s representatives have already been busy to secure him a move elsewhere.
.
Castles wrote: “Mata’s upset with his status this season has been exacerbated by a desire to start for Spain in this summer’s World Cup. Contact has also been made with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Internazionale and Paris Saint-Germain about a January switch.”
.
Whether or not the 25-year-old, valued at a mooted £30million by some suitors, will depart on a permanent deal remains to be seen, but many expect that things will have to change dramatically if he is to remain with the Blues.
