Elected and appointed political office holders from the Delta North senatorial district have resolved to pursue legal action to reclaim the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial mandate from Senator Ned Nwoko, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The decision was reached at a meeting convened and presided over by Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme.
Speaking at the meeting, Onyeme emphasized the need to maintain PDP’s dominance in the senatorial district.
“Delta North should remain a PDP-dominant senatorial district.
We must consolidate our position as the main determinant for all elections in Delta State,” he stated.
The deputy governor also urged local government council chairmen to strengthen their grassroots connections by implementing projects that align with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, aimed at improving the lives of the people.
