Diddy’s former backup dancer, Tanika Ray has come out to speak about working for him in the 1990s. She recently had her say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to her, she just knew to avoid him at all costs, and even if she danced for him and interviewed him for his projects a couple of times, she knew she had to keep her space.
Toure added that Diddy once asked a male relative of his to come over and spend the night, else his internship will not continue.
Her words, “I just knew to avoid him at all costs… Yes, I danced for him and kept my space. I interviewed him for his projects and kept my space. Nothing that is happening is surprising.”
Touré, The Grio’s creative director and former MSNBC host, added, “I know this man well enough to call him and say, ‘Hey, I need a favor.’
This might have been 10 or 12 years ago that I called him and said, ‘Hey, I have a family member, who I want you to hire them as an intern.’ And he said, ‘Yes.’
My relative’s internship with the flashy music man “stopped abruptly like three or four months into it.
I spoke to my family member, like, ‘What happened?’
And they wouldn’t say… and years later, they finally came out — and this is a male — and said that Puff had said, ‘Come home. Stay the night with me or the internship is over.’
My relative told him ‘Absolutely not.’ And the internship ended.”
WOW.
