The 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, has embraced the Supreme Court’s decision affirming Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s victory.
After contesting the election results and being declared the winner by the Appeal Court on November 19, 2023, Yilwatda’s victory was overturned by the apex court on Friday.
In a statement released to the press in Jos on Saturday, Yilwatda extended his congratulations to Governor Mutfwang, acknowledging that they had reached the final stage of the 2023 general elections and accepting the Supreme Court’s ruling with humility and gratitude to God.
Expressing his appreciation for the unwavering support of his followers, Yilwatda commended their resilience, courage, and steadfast belief in the Generation Next Movement, emphasizing the unprecedented unity and personal sacrifices displayed by his supporters.
Yilwatda urged the citizens of Plateau State and their well-wishers to maintain peace in the state, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence during this period.
