Everton have confirmed the signing of Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru on a five-year contract.
Onyekuru, 20, will spend next season on loan with Belgian champions Anderlecht where he will play in the Champions League.
“My loan move to Anderlecht is a good step for me and a welcome development because striking a deal is not all about the money involved,” he said in an interview with SCORENigeria.
“I am looking forward to another great season in Belgium as well as to feature in the Champions League. I hope to do more than I did last season with KAS Eupen.”
The Nigeria international announced the deal on his Instagram account earlier in the week amid reports of a £7 million transfer.
He becomes Everton’s third signing of the summer following the arrival of Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who arrived in a club-record £30m deal, and Ajax midfielder Davy Klaasen.
