Sunderland have pulled a transfer coup to land Liverpool forward Fabio Borini.
The Black Cats have agreed to pay a fee that could rise to £10m – plus add-ons – to the Merseyside outfit, beating off interests from Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Watford.
Borini, 24, was at the Stadium of Light during the 2013-14 campaign, scoring seven goals in 32 matches but then turned down a permanent move to the club.
The Italy international scored three goals in 38 appearances for the Reds.
