Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to serving out its full tenure, dismissing any notion of an early end to his tenure.
He claimed that the people of Rivers State can attest to his victory in the 2023 gubernatorial election.
Speaking during a solidarity visit by members of the Family Support Group to the Government House in Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara, represented by the Head of the Civil Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, called on the people of the state not to panic.
He assured them of his administration’s determination to protect their lives and properties.
According to a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara stated: “The whole land of Rivers State stands in affirmation that we won the election fairly and deserve to serve out our full tenure. There is not going to be anything that will cut short the popular mandate that you all gave to this administration.”
Governor Fubara highlighted some ongoing projects in the state, including the Port Harcourt Ring Road project and the Trans-Kalabari Road, which is set to begin soon.
He also mentioned the commencement of the construction of the Elele-Egbeda-Omoku Road, which will be dualised to improve connectivity in the state.
The governor emphasized that his government is for everyone in Rivers State, including youth, women, men, and every well-meaning Nigerian who wishes the state well.
He expressed confidence in the progress of the state’s development projects, assuring the people that his administration is focused on delivering its promises.
