Governor Seyi Makinde Presents Staff of Office to New Soun of Ogbomoso

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has officially presented the staff of office and instrument of office to the new Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye.

The presentation ceremony, held on Tuesday at the Ogbomoso township stadium, marked the formal recognition of Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye as the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso.

Governor Makinde, exercising his authority as the governor of the state, conferred the staff of office and instrument of office on the new monarch during the event.

In his remarks, Governor Makinde emphasized the significance of the presentations, stating that they symbolize the official confirmation of Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye as the rightful ruler of Ogbomoso land.

He declared, “In exercise of my power, I hereby confirm Oba Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III as the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso land.

I will hand over the instrument of office and I will also hand over the staff of office.”
