Popular Sky Sports pundit, Paul Merson has come out to claim that Erling Haaland requires the service of his Manchester City teammates in order to score goals. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the Norway striker definitely needs the service to thrive in front of goal, and if he is not getting the right passes during games, he won’t score goals.
Paul Merson added that Haaland won’t score 60 goals in League Two, and he was a manager there with Walsall.
His words, “He needs the service,”
“Everyone is going on about how great and super he is and how the movement is great and how powerful he is, but if he’s not getting the ball on a sixpence, it doesn’t matter how good your movement is, he’s not getting the ball. He would not score 60 goals in League Two, and I was a manager there with Walsall.”
