Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has jokingly said his team defeated Manchester United because he was fit to play this time around, unlike the first leg.
Salah missed the first leg at Old Trafford earlier this season because of an ankle injury, with the match ending in a draw.
Speaking after the game, the Egyptian joked that his presence in the game sealed their victory.
He added that it was an enjoyable victory for his club.
His words, “As you can see today I get back from the injury so we won the game, so I’m very happy for the team now,”
“We enjoy the moment and hopefully we finish like that.
“I got a pass from Alisson, no one else could get me the ball, but I’m very happy for the result, that’s the most important thing.”
Henderson added that it is still one game at a time for Liverpool. His words, “We’re not really thinking about the end again. Why should we change now? Why think about the end of the season? There’s still a lot of games left.
“At Liverpool there’s always expectation to win and be successful and that hopefully won’t change for a very long time.”
They visit Wolves next in the EPL.
