Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland has come out to say that he came close to representing England on the international stage. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he lived in England for three-and-a-half to four years, even if he lived in Norway for a longer time, so it was always natural for him to choose Norway.
Haaland added that if his dad had played longer in England, maybe he would have been an English man today.
His words, “I don’t know. You’d have to ask them,”
“They’ll probably say no, but maybe they are!”
“I lived here for three-and-a-half, four years,”
“But I lived in Norway for such a long time, so it was natural for me to choose Norway.”
“You never know how it might have been if my father had played longer in England, maybe I would be English! But I’m Norwegian, and I’m proud of it.”
