I Have The Ability To Succeed At Chelsea – Victor Moses

Chelsea winger Victor Moses believes he has the talent and ability to succeed at the club.

The 25-year-old former Crystal Palace man netted on Tuesday (his first goal for the club in three years) as Chelsea beat Bristol Rovers 3-2 in the League Cup.

He explained afterwards that he never doubted his ability to succeed in the big time.

“It was a great game from the lads, I thought we all worked hard.

“We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, we had to show a good attitude to go into the next round and we’re pleased with it.

“I’m excited to get on the score sheet, it’s important for me and for the team as well but the most important thing is going through.

“In pre-season I’ve always done well, it’s just about getting the chance.

“The manager knows the ability I’ve got and I want to pay him back by working hard for the team and making sure I do the right things on the pitch. I’m here and I’m happy and I want to keep enjoying my football.

“I’ve always believed in my ability and talent

“There’s still a lot to come from me for the club. I’m pleased to be playing this season. I just want to keep working hard for the team and hope we can win as many games as possible,” Moses was quoted as saying on the club’s official website, www.chelseafc.com.

Moses has now set his sights on helping Chelsea record a third consecutive win in the English Premier League when the Blues face Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Super Eagles winger says his teammates cannot afford to underrate Sean Dyche’s men.

“There are no easy games in the league. It’s 11 v 11 so it will be a hard game for us but the most important thing is to work hard together as a team.

“We’ve won three in a row, we’ve got quality players who can win us games, collectively and individually, and we’ll keep growing together,” he said.
