Following the recent tribunal judgement that invalidated his election, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has issued a call for calm among his supporters and the people of the state.
He reassured the people of the state that he would continue in office until all appeals had been heard, citing the legal right to do so.
On Monday night, Governor Sule spoke to his supporters and the public, acknowledging the temporary setback but promising to fight the judgement at a higher court.

He expressed gratitude to his many backers and singled out the youth and stakeholders among them. He extended his gratitude to the women who were unable to attend the trial but who were nonetheless present and vocal throughout.
A grateful Governor Abdullahi thanked the security forces, the many guys who brave the elements to stand at his side.
I will continue to serve as Governor until my appeal is resolved, and the law allows for further appeals. Even if we end up in the Supreme Court, I will remain Governor until then,” Governor Sule said.
Sule has called on the people of Nasarawa State to keep the peace and not do anything that could threaten the state’s stability.
The governor emphasized the significance of having faith in the court system and the appeals procedure, saying that protests or turmoil wouldn’t influence the judgment of the tribunal.
“We still believe in the judiciary, and that is why we are going to appeal the case,” he said.
