Leicester City midfielder, James Maddison has come out to say that he is disappointed not to be called up to the England squad by Gareth Southgate this week.
He recently revealed that international football is a childhood dream he has only had a taste of.
According to him, he wants to be in the England squad whenever there is international football, but he cannot control who gets picked or not.
He added that he would keep focusing on Leicester in the EPL and Europa League till Gareth Southgate looks his way.
His words, “Yes, if I am being honest. I want to be in the England squad.
“It is dream since I was a kid and I have had a taste of it. I can’t control the England squad, I can only focus on my form for Leicester and we are second in the Premier League and three out of three in the Europa League.”
On Leicester in the UEL, “I think we were good today. I think we were solid,”
“The gaffer was not happy with a couple of things at half-time tactically.
“We worked so hard for this last season. It is nights like this we do that for and long may it continue.
“We have a good squad. We have a lot of quality in depth. If you look at the injury list, we have a few key players out. Some are on their way back and I think the manager is going to need to take a paracetamol with the headache he is going to have.”
