Wayne Rooney is looking forward to facing his former club, Manchester United in the FA Cup.
The former English captain revealed that there was cheering on Derby County’s bus immediately the draw was made.
According to him, he cannot wait for the match because he actually wanted his new club to draw the English giant just so the fans can experience a game with a top club in the country.
He added that he plans to celebrate a goal vs Man Utd because he really wants Derby to win.
His words, “I can’t wait,”
“Obviously, the draw, the one team I wanted was Man United. We were on the coach, actually, going to the hotel the night before a game when the draw was taking place and there was a cheer when Manchester United came out.
“It is a great draw for us, having United come to our ground and for the fans it is a great game to go to.
“For us as a team it is a great challenge for us to come up against Manchester United, to see if we can beat them. It is a challenge, but it is something we are all looking forward to.”
On scoring and celebrating, “I think everyone will understand. I want Derby to win in this game and after the game I’ll go back to being a Manchester United fan and wanting them to win in the games after our one.”
