…How to improve the outcomes of organisational change and leadership programmes…
LONDON – Wednesday 22nd January 2014 – insynergi, the bespoke coaching, mentoring and training company, will host a half day workshop on improving the outcomes of organisational change and leadership programmes on Wednesday 29th January 2014. Scheduled to take place at the Henley Business School, the invitation only event will be followed by a networking dinner. Numbers are strictly limited and open to senior executives responsible for organisational change and leadership programmes.
The insynergi Change Academy workshop will include a number of key note speakers from the Association for Project Management, a public sector organisation and Insight Personality Analysis who will share their personal experiences and offer practical advice on what to consider when reviewing change initiatives, and leadership programmes. To pre-register for this event please contact Emily.Barling@insynergi.org
Independent studies show that 7 out of 10 organisational change projects fail.*According to insynergi, failure is more likely to occur when managers responsible for change programmes lack the necessary competency, skills and emotional intelligence.
Eddie Kilkelly, Managing Director at insynergi, comments, “Many public and private sector organisations believe they can cope by adopting particular project management methodologies, but this ignores the fact that success comes down to people as much as process. While an increasing number of employees hold project management qualifications, there is a real shortage of experienced change managers, capable of successfully delivering mission-critical change programmes on time and within budget. Typically, this gap is filled by asking senior managers to manage projects, but this strategy ignores the fact that managing a process or a department is very different to managing a change programme. As a result, previously successful managers with years of experience can find they don’t have the right operational or people skills to deliver success. The importance of developing emotional intelligence, in particular, cannot be over-estimated. Our workshop will help senior managers to identify their own organisation’s barriers to success and demonstrate how an integrated approach reduces risk, time, effort and costs.”
The insynergi portfolio of support includes project health checks, team assessment, coaching or mentoring, apprenticeship schemes, interim project management support, facilitation of workshops and software support. A free whitepaper to help organisations understand and secure successful change management, called “Successful Change Management Requires Emotional Intelligence, Not Just Process” is also available to download at http://bit.ly/IfDWNz
