Report Discusses Autonomics Technology’s Transformational Impact on Traditional Outsourcing Models and Enterprise IT Operations in 2014
London – 18th February 2014 – Global provider of automation solutions IPsoft has been recognised in a Gartner report that analyses the profound changes in the outsourcing market. The report, “Predicts 2014: Business and IT Services Are Facing the End of Outsourcing as We Know It,” notes a trend towards outcome-based services and solutions that will transform the market. Autonomic and cognitive technologies that allow “virtual knowledge engineers” to absorb work previously carried out by human engineers are noted as having a major impact on these changes by causing a shift in service delivery models.
“We believe Gartner’s 2014 IT sourcing outlook is confirmation that autonomics technology isn’t just generating buzz within the IT services marketplace—it is a viable approach to driving a step-change in service delivery models,” said Chetan Dube, President and CEO, IPsoft. “Our solutions and services can deliver a 30 percent improvement in productivity upon deployment while improving quality of service dramatically and guaranteeing business outcomes. The new price points our solutions enable will prompt a wave of change in the IT services industry.”
IPsoft is working with a number of global IT service providers to incorporate its autonomics technology platform, IPcenter, into their managed service and delivery models. IPcenter has proven to increase speed, quality and consistency of operations while lowering service costs. With functionally-rich, context-aware, ‘virtual, knowledge engineers,’ it resolves an average of 56 percent of events without any human intervention and reduces mean time to resolution by 60 percent.
“We are continuing to foster partnerships with IT service providers and are already seeing Gartner’s market predictions come to fruition this year,” continued Dube. “IPsoft is redefining the benchmarks for the outsourcing industry, as we see leading market players embrace autonomics. Together with our partners, we will enable enterprises to rewrite the cost/quality equation of running high-performing infrastructure operations that drive outcomes more accurately and in response to fluctuating business drivers.”
