Alhaji Hadi Al-Mustapha, younger brother to Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, the former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State, General Sani Abacha has said operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF), who raided his house on Friday in Kano were misled into carrying out the operation as nothing incriminating was found there.
He said they suspected a sinister motive in the raid.
It would be recalled that the residence, located in the Bompai area of Kano metropolis, was raided for hours by the JTF in rather unclear circumstances.
Following what he termed an ‘embarrassment’ to the JTF, Al-Mustapha said they should probe whoever misled them into carrying out the operation so as to avoid a future recurrence.
“They were misled because somebody gave them false information about the house. They should investigate the person that misled them in order to know the motive for it”, he said.
He also debunked media reports that the house belonged to his elder brother, who was recently released from prison, saying the house belongs to him instead.
