Budding Hollywood actress, Karrueche Tran has continued to defy the odds that she wouldn’t cut it as a successful actress.
At the recently held 43rd Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards – which honours craft and behind-the-scene categories – the budding actress, who was once most popularly known as Chris Brown‘s girlfriend, won honours with her crew for their production work on the popular web series, ‘The Bay’.
‘It’s really freaking awesome. It’s great for my acting career,’ the excited 27-year-old model told Hiphollywood about her win at the award ceremony which held yesterday, May 1.
This is Tran’s second Emmy win. In April 2015, her ‘The Bay’ cast
members picked up an Emmy for ‘Outstanding New Approaches Drama Series.’
Tran’s career has been plagued by her infamous public fall-out with Chris, with many believing she capitalised on the singer’s image to stardom and wouldn’t amount to much on her own.
She joined the cast of the popular online series in 2014 and appeared in six episodes, with her role and input becoming more significant in the upcoming fourth season.
