The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, has implemented a new order titled the Inter-State Road Tax Sticker (ISRTS) and Single Haulage Fee (SHF) Order ‘1’.
This directive, effective from December 22, was officially announced through a statement released by Malam Ibrahim Kaula, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, and distributed to the press in Katsina.
Governor Radda’s order, authorized by Section 5 (2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), details revised rates for inter-state haulage fees in the state, with adjustments as follows:
– Vendor fee increased to N7,500 from N3,500
– Integrator fee increased to N4,000 from N1,000
– Enforcement fee increased to N1,500 from N1,000
Additionally, the SHF rates have been adjusted as follows:
– Consultant fee implemented at N1,500 from N0.00
– Vendor Loading/Offload adjusted
– Introduction of Pick-Up Van at N4,000 from N0.00
Governor Radda further outlined new rates for various vehicle categories:
– Pick-Up Non-Heavy: N5,500 from N0.00
– Heavy Duty 6/8 tyres: N8,000 from N0.00
– Luxury Buses: N10,000 from N5,500
– 12/14 tyres and equivalent vehicles: N19,000 from N11,000
– 18 tyres and above: N25,000 from N16,000
Governor Radda emphasized that these adjustments aim to maintain effective interstate haulage operations within Katsina State while promoting fair and sustainable economic practices.
The measures reflect the state’s commitment to enhancing transportation efficiency and fostering a conducive economic environment.
