Galatasaray striker, Alvaro Morata has come out to admit that leaving Atletico Madrid for AC Milan was a career mistake. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he should have never left Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024, and he only made the wrong decision because of a challenging personal period he was going through.

Morata added that his father and agent both told him that he was making a mistake, but he did not listen to them.
His words, “I should never have left Atletico. But I wasn’t feeling well. And when you’re not feeling well, you make the wrong decisions in all areas of life.
Milan’s coach called me every day – and I wanted to be loved and appreciated. Then I had to make a quick decision and didn’t realise that I was also important to [Diego] Simeone and that he valued me.
My father and my agent told me that I was making a mistake, but I didn’t listen to them. When you’re going through a tough time, everything looks grey, even if those around you tell you that it’s not.
If I could go back in time, I would never have left Atletico. But you can’t change the past. Now I’m happy again.”
WOW.
