Likuena captain, Moitheri Ntobo, is confident Lesotho will bounce back from their 1-0 loss suffered against Liberia in the first leg first round match of the Morocco 2015 Orange African Cup of Nations qualifiers played a fortnight ago.
“We know that it is going to be very difficult on Sunday and we have prepared very well to make sure that we win convincingly and advance to the next stage of the qualifiers,” the veteran defender said.
“This match is a do-or-die for us and must use the home advantage to win it.
The 35- year old defender said they now know what to expect from Liberia after losing 1-0 in the first leg match.
“We were just unfortunate to have lost the first leg tie because we did not perform badly and playing at home will be an extra motivation,” said the lanky defender.
“We know the importance of this match and we just have to rise to the occasion and make our country proud,” he said.
The lanky defender said he is confident the arrival of US based striker, Jane Tšotleho, will improve their strike force as they need goals on Sunday.
Tšotleho (22) arrived in Lesotho on Monday from his North Carolina base and is set to earn his first senior cap when Likuena host Liberia’s Lone Stars this weekend in a must-win 2015 Africa Cup of Nations return tie at Setsoto stadium.
