Senate President, David Mark has identified the solution to Nigeria’s security, political and socio-economic challenges.
Mark said “only if we turn to Him (God) to salvage the myriads of crisis facing the nation,” will God heal our land.
“What the country is passing through at the moment is a test of our faith. We must be steadfast in our prayers that God will save Nigeria,” the Senate president told members of the Youth Prayer Network of Nigeria (YPNN) during the flag-off of national prayers for the nation, in his Apo, Abuja official residence.
“What we need now as a nation is sincerity of purpose; sincerity on the part of everybody: the government and the people. With prayers, our country will see the end of this insurgency and God will totally heal our land.”
The Senate President also charged youths across the country to embrace the YPNN as the agents needed for positive change towards building a greater Nigeria.
Coordinator of the YPNN, Rev. Father Charles Ndubuisi, who spoke earlier, said youths across the nation have come together to pray for an end to the lingering security crisis and to seek change of attitude among the younger generation.
“We have come together to raise our voices to God. The future belongs to young people and as youths by implication, we are praying for ourselves too,” he said.
