Lionel Messi doesn’t deserve to win the Ballon d’Or this year, Adrien Rabiot has said. He recently backed either Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland to win the prize, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he has been hearing too many people say Messi will win the award, but on a sporting level, that should not be the case.
Rabiot added that Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are better candidates for the award because they both had great years.
His words, “I hear a lot of people saying Messi will win it. But on a sporting level, it will be between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Saying which one of those two will be difficult, depends what it’s based on. No one ever agrees, but it will be between those two. I exclude everyone else.”
