The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a public alert regarding the sale of counterfeit Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder in various states across Nigeria.
In a statement released on Wednesday, January 24, NAFDAC revealed that investigations had uncovered the widespread presence of these counterfeit products in the market.
To address this issue, NAFDAC has directed its zonal directors and state coordinators to initiate surveillance efforts aimed at identifying and removing the counterfeit Arla Dano Milk Powder from circulation across the country.
The agency has urged distributors, retailers, and consumers to exercise caution and vigilance when purchasing milk powder products.
They are advised to verify the authenticity and physical condition of the products before consumption or distribution.
Furthermore, individuals in possession of the counterfeit Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder are advised to surrender their stock to the nearest NAFDAC office.
Anyone who has consumed these products and experienced adverse reactions is urged to seek immediate medical attention from a qualified healthcare professional.
Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspected distribution or sale of counterfeit or unwholesome food products to the nearest NAFDAC office, contact NAFDAC on 0800-162-3322, or send an email to sf.alert@nafdac.gov.ng.
NAFDAC also emphasized the importance of reporting any adverse effects related to the consumption of counterfeit food products to the nearest NAFDAC office for prompt action.
