Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has come out to say that he hopes Wilfred Ndidi will be available for selection against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. He recently revealed that both Ndidi and Vardy have responded well to treatment thus far, and that is good news for the club.
According to him, the team doctors will watch both players over the next couple of days, as they are very important to the club.
He added that the intensity of the current EPL season will expose more footballers to injuries, and managers will just have to deal with the reality.
His words on Ndidi and Vardy, “They should be available for the weekend, so it’s great news for us. They’ve responded really well,”
“We’ll see how they are over the next couple of days and they’ll hopefully be back in the squad and available for the weekend.”
“Wilf won’t be too much longer after that. It’s just the nature of this season. If you look at how compact the games are and the intensity of them, it’s very, very difficult for players,”
“I think the players have been amazing in terms of the level of performance they’re giving considering the intensity of the games and how close they are together. It’s just something you have to cope with.”
