…promises to take foundation to greater heights
The newly appointed Ogun State Coordinator of Omoilu Foundation, Mr. ‘Leke Shittu today took over the mantle of leadership, with a promise to help the Foundation achieve its goals.
He spoke at the foundation’s headquarters in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State when the immediate past State Coordinator of the Foundation, Otunba ‘Niyi Osoba, handed over to him the instruments of office.
Speaking at the occasion, Shittu promised to be transparent in discharging his duties, adding that he would operate in line with the cardinal objectives of the Senator Buruji Kashamu-led Omoilu Foundation.
He said he would put in place policies in consonance with the “empowerment for all” slogan of the foundation.
The new state coordinator stressed the need for the cooperation and support of the grand patrons, Local Government coordinators, ward coordinators and stakeholders of the foundation across Ogun State.
“I am not for my local government alone. I am a coordinator for the whole state and all the 20 local government areas of Ogun State. Therefore, I pledge to operate in fairness and justice. I will not promote favouritism or nepotism, no local government or group of persons have my exclusive attention as I am here to serve the entire 20 Local Government Areas in Ogun State,” Shittu said.
In his remarks, the outgoing coordinator of the foundation, Osoba stated that he was very happy to hand over to Shittu, having helped the Foundation to achieve its aims and objectives during his tenure in Office.
The ex-Ogun labour leader listed the objectives to be qualitative primary health care services to the masses, scholarship to indigent students, agricultural enhancement, empowerment and the general well-being of the people, among others.
Osoba is now the Ogun State Coordinator, Mobilization and Organization Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West, and the Constituency Office manager for Ogun East Senatorial District
